Our Journey: Where It Began

Double Miscarriage Mother's Message of Hope

Originally published in Wales Online, March 2013

A traumatic double miscarriage at home prompted Georgina Horton-Jones to launch a dedicated support network to help other families navigating the agonizing grief of baby loss.

Georgina was 12 weeks pregnant when she suffered a sudden miscarriage at home, unaware that she was expecting twins. After experiencing severe pain and hours of intense contractions alone, she miscarried a tiny baby boy at night and a baby girl the following morning.

Following the loss, Georgina and her husband Grant were stunned by the lack of compassion and support resources available to them during such a deeply vulnerable and frightening time. "The lack of support was unbelievable and not something I expected," Georgina recalls. "Just having someone to talk to and explain would have helped. Miscarriage is not something you get over, just something you cope with. You learn to move on."

Determined to ensure that no other family would have to endure a similar heartbreak in isolation, Georgina named her twins Caderyn and Charlotte, laying them to rest in a peaceful garden of remembrance. She then established Charlotte and Caderyn's Wings of Hope—a dedicated community support initiative designed to offer open advice, peer comfort, and localised fundraising.

"Losing a baby is still a taboo subject. They are still part of your family, still part of you," she explains. "It's a way of remembering them and making them part of the family. I just want to help other people. It does help to talk."

Our Story & Mission

This organisation was born out of a deep personal understanding of life’s most difficult storms, named in honour of pieces of my heart.

We exist to ensure that no one has to navigate the isolation of trauma, grief, or mental health struggles alone.

Our mission is simple: to provide a confidential, remote safe haven and virtual peer network for survivors of pregnancy loss, mental health battles, and domestic abuse globally.

We believe that true healing begins when you are heard, validated, and met with genuine empathy.

Because our community is built online, distance is no barrier to receiving the comfort and support you deserve.

Bridging Global Support with Local Connection

While our primary support and community networks operate virtually across the globe, we aim to offer comforting in-person connections or telephone support within the UK strictly by prior arrangement, as scheduling allows.

Please note that alongside running this organization, I am a full-time caregiver.

Because my caring responsibilities mean my daily schedule requires flexibility, all initial points of contact must go through our website contact form or our official social media channels rather than direct phone calls. This allows me to protect the quality of support I offer to both my family and to you.

Once we connect digitally, we can comfortably pre-arrange a dedicated time to talk, meet, or plan your support path together.

Wherever you are in the world, and whatever you are carrying—our doors are open to you.

We Are Here for You:

Whether you need a listening ear today, resources for tomorrow, or are looking to connect with others who truly understand your path—you are welcome here.

Take your time, and reach out whenever you are ready.
